This natural solid maple soap dish helps dry your soap.
100% natural origin Designed and manufactured in France Ecological and biodegradable
Information
This 100% natural soap dish, made from solid maple, comes from the forests of Alsace and Lorraine, where the forestry heritage is essentially public and managed by the Office National des ForĂȘts in a sustainable way.
This wood is non-tannic, so it won't stain the surface on which it's placed. It acts as a moisture regulator, absorbing water and soap. Wood is a natural material, so it's subject to fluctuations in color and grain pattern. All our soap dishes are therefore unique!
Dimensions: 8.5 cm wide and 2 cm high
Recommendations for use
Maple wood is known for its hardness and stability, and requires no special maintenance. As it's a living wood, it will change, evolve and take on new colors, but it won't fade for a long time.
Manufacturing
Handcrafted, without glue or screws, by a carpenter from the Vosges who works alone with conventional tools.
The maple for his soap dishes comes from local sawmills. He lives in a densely wooded region. He cuts beautiful planks with a chainsaw, then trims them to width with a saw. Then he planes and planes each piece to obtain beautiful parallelepipeds. Router, router, planer and bandsaw are used to give each piece its final shape and characteristics.
